Former and current professors of the Liszt Academy of Music were awarded for their artistic and scientific work with the highest state acknowledgments by László Sólyom, President of the Republic of Hungary.
The Kossuth Prize was granted to composer and Academy professor László Vidovszky, and to pianist Ferenc Rados.
Awarded with the Széchenyi Prize for decades of scientific research, pedagogical work and performing is Academy professor and music historian Dr. Katalin Komlós, carrier of the Ferenc Erkel prize.
