Kristina Vaculová has won second prize at the 13. International „Friedrich Kuhlau” Flute Competition held between 25th and 31st October, 2009

This unique and renown flute competition is being held every second year in Uelzen, the hometown of Kuhlau. His interesting ouvre includes not just works for flute solo, but also for flute ensembles, which is mirrored in three different categories of the competition. In the category Solo Flute/Flute and Piano Kristina Vaculová (Czech Republic) has won second prize. Kristina, a student of Prof. Václav Kunt at the Janáček Academy in Brno is currently studying as an Erasmus-student at the Liszt Academy of Music with Prof. Zoltán Gyöngyössy.
